The Chair are an Orcadian folk group from the Orkney Islands, Scotland. They form in 2004 after a one-off appearance at the Orkney Folk Festival leads to the group becoming a regular band.

The line-up includes Brian Cromarty, Gavin Firth, Fionn McArthur and Douglas Montgomery, and the group is described as an eight-piece band. Their music is associated with folk, Celtic, progressive rock and Scottish and stoner tags.
