Press to MECO

Press to MECO is a UK rock band formed in Croydon in 2011. The group also has connections to Crawley. Its current line-up consists of Luke Caley on guitar, Lewis Williams on drums and Jake Crawford on bass, with all three members contributing vocals.

Style and sound

The band’s music is described as alternative rock, progressive rock and rock, and it is also associated with post-hardcore, mathcore and tech metal. Their sound combines intricate riffs, progressive arrangements and math-influenced structures with pop choruses and three-part harmonies.

Releases

Press to MECO first releases two independently issued EPs. Their debut album, Good Intent, is released through Best Before Records in 2015. In 2017 they sign to Marshall Records, which releases their second album, Here’s To The Fatigue. Their third album, Transmute, follows in 2021.

Line-up changes

The band begins with Luke Caley and Lewis Williams, who form the group as college friends. They later invite Adam Roffey, a friend of Caley’s, to join. Roffey leaves the band in 2020 and Jake Crawford replaces him later that year.
