Pete Murray

Pete Murray is an Australian singer-songwriter from Brisbane, Australia. His work is associated with pop, pop rock, rock and singer-songwriter styles. He is born in 1969.

Career

Murray’s second album, Feeler, reaches number one on the Australian charts and is certified six times platinum. The album includes the single “So Beautiful,” which enters the Australian top ten in 2004. He receives two ARIA nominations in 2003.

In 2005 he releases See the Sun, led by “Better Days,” followed by “Class A” and “Opportunity.” His third album, Summer at Eureka, is released in 2008 and becomes his third consecutive number one album in Australia. Its first single, “You Pick Me Up,” reaches number 47 on the Australian charts.

His fourth studio album, Blue Sky Blue, is released in 2011 and debuts at number 6 on the ARIA albums chart. The first single, “Always A Winner,” is released in 2011, and the second single, “Free,” spends two weeks at number 50 on the ARIA singles chart. The video for “Free” uses footage from his 2011 tour of Brazil.
