Hey Sholay is a UK indie group. The act is described as a set of individuals with a shared history, and their story frames them as people brought together after a fire destroys their forest home and the savings they had kept there.

Background

They are presented as having grown up in the warm tropical climate of the South Eastern Asian rainforests, where they are raised by rival families of bush babies. They know each other from around the local biome but keep their distance for a long time.

The turning point in their story comes during an August fire that burns through the forest, taking homes and family, and also the “Big Red tree” beneath which their pension savings are hidden in its roots. After losing their habitat, they unite with the aim of recovering what was taken from them, or of saving enough to buy a small condo in Great Yarmouth.
