Dool

Dool are a rock band from Rotterdam in the Netherlands, active since 2015. The group forms around Raven van Dorst, who starts the project while still performing under the solo name Elle Bandita, a name Van Dorst stops using in early 2019. Dool are associated with dark and heavy rock, and their listed styles also include psychedelic rock, progressive rock, hard rock, rock and dark rock. Their label is Prophecy Productions, and their genre profile also includes metal.

History

The band’s first single, Oweynagat, is released in November 2015. Their debut album, Here Now, There Then, follows in 2017 and receives strong reviews across Europe. Dool then play extensively in 2017, 2018 and 2019 before recording their second album, Summerland, which appears in 2020. That record draws on nineties grunge, stoner rock, psychedelic music and folk influences. Their third studio album, The Shape of Fluidity, is released in 2024.

The group includes Raven van Dorst on vocals and guitar, Reinier Vermeulen on guitar, Nick Polak on guitar, Micha Haring on drums, and JB van der Wal on bass. The members list also includes Omar Kleiss, Job van de Zande and Elle Bandita.
