Dog Is Dead
Dog Is Dead, now known as D.I.D, is a five-piece indie pop band from Nottingham, England. The group forms in 2008 and features frontman Rob Milton, Joss Harrison-Willder, Lawrence Cole, drummer Lawrence Libor and Rob White. Milton, Harrison-Willder and Cole meet at West Bridgford School. Libor joins after a party, and White joins after a rehearsal for The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe.
The band releases its debut single, “Glockenspiel Song,” in 2010. It also appears in the closing scene of the fifth series of the British teen drama Skins, performing the song in a marquee while the cast sings along.
The group describes its music as a mix of indie, nu-jazz and children’s music. Its style is also associated with indie, British indie pop, indie rock and math rock.
