Blaenavon

Blaenavon is an English indie rock band based in Hampshire. The band consists of Ben Gregory on vocals, Frank Wright on bass, and Harris McMillan on drums. The group forms in 2013, after the members first come together while attending local secondary school and are 14 years old.

Early activity and recording

The band’s first public break comes in 2013 when they win their final-year talent contest with a cover of Muse’s “Knights of Cydonia”. They also play their first London show at the Camden Assembly and sign a recording deal with Transgressive Records. Their debut release is the Koso EP in 2013, followed by the Miss World EP by the end of 2015.

Debut album

Blaenavon release their first album through Transgressive in 2017. The album contains 12 tracks, receives generally positive reviews, and is recorded with producer Jim Abbiss, who has worked with Arctic Monkeys, Adele and Bombay Bicycle Club.
