Black Spiders
Black Spiders are a hard rock band from Sheffield, United Kingdom, active since 2008. The group is led by Pete ‘Spider’ Spiby and also includes Ozzy ‘Owl’ Lister on guitar, Mark ‘Dark Shark’ Thomas on guitar, ‘Tiger Si’ Atkinson on drums and Adam ‘Fox’ Irwin on bass.
Releases
The band’s early discography includes the single St. Peter, the Cinco Hombres (Diez Cojones) EP and the No Goats in the Omen EP. Their debut album is Sons Of The North, released through Dark Riders / Cargo Records.
Touring and live work
Black Spiders build their profile through extensive touring in the UK and Europe. They tour with Airbourne in the UK and spend seven weeks in Europe and Scandinavia at the end of 2010. They also play UK tours with Black Stone Cherry, The Datsuns, Stone Gods, Danko Jones, The Wildhearts and The Answer. In April 2010 they headline their first tour with Slaves to Gravity supporting.
Notable appearances
In July 2010, Ozzy Osbourne handpicks the band to support him at the iTunes Festival at the Roundhouse in London. He later invites them to play Ozzfest at the O2 Arena in London.

The band are identified with hard rock and stoner rock, and their work is associated with the British hard rock scene.
