Arcane Roots are a rock band from Reigate and Kingston upon Thames, active from 2006 to 2018. The group is made up of Frank Tiramani, Daryl Atkins, Andrew Groves and Adam Burton. Their music is associated with alternative rock, alternative metal, post-hardcore, progressive rock, progressive and rock, and the band also draws on math rock and electronic elements.

Releases

The band releases two studio albums: Blood & Chemistry in 2013 and Melancholia Hymns in 2017. They also release three EPs: Left Fire, Heaven & Earth and Landslide.

Style and reception

Arcane Roots combine melodic vocals and harmonies with intricate guitar work, shifting between heavy riffs, progressive structures and electronic textures. They are described in the scene as a notable unsigned act and as a band to watch early in their career. In 2018 the group announces that its members move on to other projects and that Arcane Roots ends.
