And So I Watch You From Afar
And So I Watch You From Afar are a Northern Irish rock band from Belfast, United Kingdom. They form in 2005 and are active as a group. Their line-up includes Tony Wright, Rory Friers, Chris Wee, Johnny Adger, Niall Kennedy and Ewen Friers.
The band works in instrumental rock, math rock, post-rock and related experimental forms, and their music is largely instrumental, with group vocals appearing in parts. Their sound is built through collaborative arranging in rehearsal, with Rory Friers contributing much of the writing before the material is developed collectively.
The band’s early line-up includes Rory Friers and Niall Kennedy on guitars, Ewen Friers on bass and Chris Wee on drums. They record with Velocity Records.
They write and release albums and EPs, and earlier in their career they issue two albums and two EPs as a four-piece with former member Tony Wright. Their release Gangs appears through Sargent House in North America, alongside a management and label deal announced in 2011. They are also associated with Richter Collective.
