The UK music festival BST Hyde Park has been cancelled after headliner Jeff Lynne's ELO withdrew due to medical reasons. This comes after Neil Young breached the curfew during a performance at the event.

UK music festival BST Hyde Park has announced the cancellation of tomorrow's event, following ELO's withdrawal due to health issues.

In a statement, the organizers revealed: "Following the news that Jeff Lynne's ELO will not be able to perform at BST Hyde Park due to medical reasons, Sunday 13 July's event will sadly be cancelled."

Ticket holders will be refunded and contacted directly by their ticket agent with further details.

Health Issues Force Cancellation

Jeff Lynne was earlier compelled to cancel his scheduled BFT Hyde Park concert this weekend after falling ill.

Neil Young Incident

The cancellation follows an incident on Friday when rock legend Neil Young overstepped the strict 10.30 pm curfew at London's Hyde Park after a marathon concert, prompting organizers to intervene.

  • The iconic musician continued his performance past the curfew time, leading to the festival being prematurely ended.
  • This isn't the first time such incidents have occurred at the venue, with Bruce Springsteen facing a similar situation in 2012.
