Guilfest is excited to celebrate their 25th anniversary this year.  They’ve booked one of the biggest bands in the world, The Jacksons to headline on the Saturday night and are thrilled to announce Razorlight as the Sunday headliner.   Also taking to the main stage on Saturday are Soul II Soul, Leo Sayer, Sleeper, Stereo MCs, Odyssey, The Marley Experience, The Wedding Present, Letz Zep, Bay City Rollers, Baby D, N-Trance, The Spice Girls Experience and The Rock Choir.

On Sunday the lineup will also feature KT Tunstall, The Amy Winehouse Band, Dutty Moonshine Big Band, Elvana, Altered Images, Dub Pistols, The Primitives, Skids, Sex Pissed Dolls, Voodoo Radio, Fuzzbox, Blondied and The Rock Choir.

Guilfest is now one of the only independent festivals left in the country as so many have sadly fallen by the wayside leaving just the big few standing.  It is testament to the Guilfest team that the festival is still going strong and still delivering such spectacular entertainment.

In 1992  Tony Scott, a local marquee company owner, had a vision to start Guilfest and has built it up over the years to the huge event that has been a stalwart of the festival calendar delivering 25 amazing events over subsequent years.  Previously the festival has played host to giants such as Van Morrison, Motorhead, Alice Cooper, Madness, Blondie, UB40, The Pogues, Paul Weller, Status Quo and of course, local heroes The Stranglers.

Organiser Tony Scott says: “It was so great to bring Guilfest back last year, it was like a massive gathering of old and new friends in the sunshine where a lovely time was had by all.  We are so excited to have Razorlight performing their hits such as “America” and The Jacksons belting out “Can You Feel It” in our local Stoke Park.  I can’t wait!”

Guilfest has always championed new acts, previously having performances by a young David Gray. The Darkness, Ollie Murrs  and current Reading and Leeds headliners Bring Me The Horizon.  Local talent is supported on The Andertons Local Heroes Stage and every year have given local artists an opportunity to play at the festival.

In addition to the 7 separate stages of music. there will be plenty of fun for all the family including Bluey & Peppa Pig, The Jokers! Comedy Tent, Dance Tent, Art & Craft Village with Brilliant Workshops, Street Theatre, Delicious World Cuisine, Rustic Beer & Real Ale Bar, Literary Tent with Interesting Talks, Cocktail Bar, Singing, Dancing & Drumming Workshops and Shanti Sessions, Games Tent, Kids Area, Bug Farm and Bush crafts.

Tickets sold out last year and are once again flying out the door so make sure to get yours now, available from their website: http://www.guilfest.co.uk
