The Kills Added to The Warehouse Project 2011 Line

Electrifying duo The Kills, aka Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince, join one of WHP11’s most captivating live bills, curated by The Horrors.

Set to be one of WHP11’s darkest but no less energetic nights, Curated by The Horrors on 15th October sees the five-piece group bringing together their friends and favourites from today’s music scene. The Kills’ jagged alt rock is a perfect addition to the night. With a wave of critical acclaim for their most recent release Skying, The Horrors, alongside Mosshart and Hince, will see Store Street filled to the rafters.

In the autumn of 2006 a project began that has changed the face of Manchester’s club scene, having a huge effect on the UK and beyond. Launching with the slogan ‘For twelve weeks this city is ours’ the Warehouse Project set out to establish a ‘guerrilla’ style club that was to run every Friday and Saturday night for a three month period each year. Just as it was six years ago when they opened those gates to Boddingtons, The Warehouse Project remains a big experiment. One that continues to evolve organically and never really knows exactly how it’s going to turn out.

Demand for WHP11 and the final Store Street parties is reaching fever pitch. Saturday 24th September (featuring Visionquest, Marco Carola, Four Tet +more), Saturday 8th October (headlined by Nero) and Friday 21st October (featuring Carl Cox, Sven Vath + more) are now all sold out and no more tickets will be released for these dates.

Also now confirmed…

Genre-busting master of the re-edit, Todd Terje joins the line up for the Cadenza night at WHP11 on Friday 3rd December.  The Grammy-nominated producer Nic Fanciulli and Detroit techno legend Derrick May will both take to the decks on Saturday 1st October.
