One of the UK's most distinctive and internationally minded festivals, WOMAD – World of Music, Arts and Dance – has built its reputation around bringing artists, sounds and cultures from across the globe together in one place.
Following WOMAD's move to Neston Park in North Wiltshire, the festival is set to return to the estate in summer 2027 for another weekend celebrating music and culture in all its forms.
More Than Just the Music
While WOMAD's international music programme is at the heart of the festival, there's much more to explore across the weekend.
Festival-goers can expect a packed programme extending beyond the main stages, with music and dance workshops, talks and debates, children's activities, global food, wellbeing experiences and contemporary art all forming part of the wider WOMAD experience.
The festival's workshops give visitors the opportunity to get closer to musicians and performers, while Taste the World offers a different way to meet artists as they share dishes and stories from their home cultures.
Elsewhere, the World of Words hosts talks, discussions and authors, the World of Wellbeing provides space to unwind, and the World of Art brings visual art, installations and performances into the festival landscape.
Families are also a major part of WOMAD, with dedicated activities and workshops for younger festival-goers.
WOMAD's Wiltshire Home
Neston Park provides WOMAD with a picturesque setting in the Wiltshire countryside and is situated close to the festival organisation's roots at Real World Studios.
The estate became WOMAD's new UK home in 2026, beginning a new chapter for a festival whose ethos has long centred on bringing people and cultures together through music, arts and shared experiences - Read Our 2026 Womad Festival Review here
For those travelling by public transport, Chippenham is the nearest railway station to Neston Park.
