Salisbury Live charity festival to support local youth charities

A Salisbury park will play host to a charity fundraising festival organized by Salisbury Live. The event, 'Right Here, Right Now!', will be held at Victoria Park on August 16, with gates opening at 2.30pm.

The festival will support the Rose Gale Trust and the Thom Belk Community Fund, both local youth charities. Festivalgoers can expect performances from nine acts across two stages, including The Absolute Stone Roses, a renowned Stone Roses tribute band, and Fatboy Tim, a Fatboy Slim tribute artist.

Local Acts and Food Options

The festival also features performances by local acts such as Thin Lizzy tribute band Southbound, singer-songwriter Rob Clamp, and bands Carrellian, Signature Vision, Live is Enough, and InColour. The Evolution Pop Choir from Salisbury will kick off the musical performances. The event promises a wide array of food options, including fish and chips, burgers, pizza, and kebabs, with two licensed bars available.

Family-Friendly Event

With activities for children, the festival is expected to be family-friendly. Tickets can be purchased from Skiddle.com, with free entry for children under 12. The park is a 15-minute walk from the city centre, with a regular bus service and the Beehive park and ride service also available.
