Strawberries & Creem Festival announce an impressive line-up for June’s 10,000 capacity event - over 40 acts across 3 stages spanning grime, garage, house and dancehall - but the top three headliners are yet to be revealed

Leading grime MCs AJ Tracey, J Hus and P-Money all feature, alongside disco house legend Dimitri From Paris, garage pioneers Artful Dodger and So Solid Crew, Gentleman’s Dub Club, General Levy, Mike Skinner and Donae’o

One of the UK’s fastest-growing independent festivals, the Cambridge-based event has doubled in size every year since its conception in 2014 - previously playing host to Skepta, Nelly, Kano, David Rodigan and Grandmaster Flash

Strawberries & Creem Festival has just unveiled the majority of its line-up, with 40+ acts including some of the biggest names in UK music right now and over the years - spanning grime, garage, dancehall and house, both up-and-coming and world-renowned artists alike.

Rising grime star AJ Tracey and UK rap phenomenon J Hus represent an exciting vanguard of new UK music, with garage pioneers Artful Dodger and So Solid Crew, house hero Dimitri From Paris and urban legend Mike Skinner adding experience and clout to the line-up.

Ska outfit Gentleman’s Dub Club bring a refreshing splash of live music, with Donae’o, General Levy and The Heatwave sure to start the party with UK funky and dancehall. Logan Sama b2b Sir Spyro (a UK festival exclusive) and P-Money cater for the serious grime fans.

However, the three main headliners are yet to be revealed. Based on last year’s late unveiling of rap superstar Nelly - a UK festival exclusive for 2016 - the upcoming announcement of three huge acts is expected to be just as exciting and unexpected.

Labelled as ‘a mainstay of the UK festival circuit’, the one-day music extravaganza has rapidly become Cambridge’s leading music event - and is one of the UK’s fastest-growing independent festivals, having doubled in size every year since its conception in 2014.

On 17th June, Strawberries & Creem - which began as a party on a farm just three years ago - will play host to over 10,000 revellers, continuing its meteoric rise which has coincided aptly with the surge in popularity of UK music (especially grime) on the global stage.

This year, the number of music arenas has increased again to three - with Mixmag and Link Up TV hosting the dance tent and grime stage respectively, plus the main stage as the focus for the mystery headliners. Deliveroo will provide the much-loved food banquet once again.

The festival played host to Skepta’s first UK festival performance of the summer in 2015, and boasted another huge grime act in Kano last year - bringing the current sounds of the UK, alongside household names such as Nelly, to a sleepy city known mainly for its university.

Strawberries & Creem is on 17th June.
