About Woodshrop Festival
Woodshrop started in 2023, founded by Shrewsbury couple Emma and Oli Jones. The 2027 edition of Woodshrop Festival runs 16–18 July at West Mid Showground, Shrewsbury, as a music festival built around tribute acts and 20th-century classic rock and pop. Its maximum daily capacity is 7,000.
The music centres on tribute acts working through 20th-century material. Silent disco and late bar sessions sit alongside the live tribute-band performances.
Who Is It For?
Woodshrop is aimed at a family-friendly, multi-generational tribute-music crowd. Children are part of the picture. Family picnic areas and room for children to play sit within the site layout.
Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over, and Challenge 25 applies for alcohol sales. Dogs are welcome on a short lead.
The Venue and Site
West Mid Showground sits on Berwick Road in Shrewsbury, on the banks of the River Severn. The town centre and Shrewsbury Railway Station are each about 15 minutes away on foot.
Camping is limited to valid full-festival ticket holders and covers up to three nights. Caravans, campervans, motorhomes, tents and other live-in vehicles are welcome. Standard pitches are about 6m x 8m, and limited EHUs must be booked in advance.
Facilities include toilets, hot showers, washing-up areas, Elsan disposal points, fresh water points, disabled toilets and showers, vendors and bars. Thursday early arrival requires a separate ticket.
