First launched in 2011, WoodFest is the first festival ever run by the National Trust. It takes place at Hatfield Forest in Essex and it is set right in the depths of forest and celebrates the unique characteristics of the forest. Locally sourced food and ale can be enjoyed as well as many workshops, the opportunity to enjoy woodland produce and crafts and of course, the live music.
In 2015 WoodFest is organised for 4th until 7th September and live music is provided by local bands all weekend with the opportunity to join in yourself in the ‘session in the shelter’ event. The festival also has plenty of stalls selling timber and products of the forest and plenty of children’s activities.
