First launched in 1999 the Teignmouth Folk Festival takes place at a number of different venues across the popular and historic seaside resort. It has been offering up a wide range of events, musical performances and more for all these years and includes Applachian, Border and Morris Dancing as well as the live music.

In 2017 Teignmouth Folk Festival is in its 19th year and takes place from 16th until 18th of June. It takes over many venues in the historic seaside town and brings music for festival goers of all ages.
