Stroud Folk Weekend is an event consisting mainly of pub sessions, singarounds of mainly traditional music and morris dancing in the streets.
SFW is more about people getting together and making music, singing songs and dancing rather than on formal concerts.
We do act as an umbrella for other activities taking place during our weekend that are organized by others.
The Stroud Subscription Rooms and Lansdown Hall have held concerts in conjunction with out weekend and some of the pubs and Cafes such as The Ale House and Cafe Meme have done so as well. Performers seeking paid gigs should contact those venues directly.
