About Strawberry Fields Festival
Cattows Farm sits in Heather, North West Leicestershire, around 15 miles from Leicester. Strawberry Fields Festival 2027 runs there from 6-8 August as a music festival with camping on the farm site.
The first edition took place at Cattows Farm in 2010. By 2011 it had expanded to two days, with a main stage, dance tent and introducing stage in the layout. Capacity has been given as 5,000 a day.
Lineup and Programme
The programme is built around live bands and DJ sets. The bill has historically pulled from indie, electronic/dance, rock, drum and bass and dubstep.
Stage names tied to earlier editions include Main Stage, Dance Tent / Dance Arena, Introducing Stage, Strawberry Jam Stage and The Boat that Rocks. Away from stage times, the site has also carried funfair rides, vintage stalls and a Healing Zone.
Who Is It For?
The crowd is adult-leaning and youth-skewed, with the format centred on bands, DJs and camping rather than family programming. It is a camping music festival first.
In 2015, a minimum age of 16 applied. The event has been marketed around live music and DJs rather than children’s areas.
The Venue and Site
Cattows Farm is a long-running family farm and attraction in Heather, with an on-site café / tea room and farm shop. The festival site sits in the Leicestershire countryside, within the National Forest area.
On-site camping is part of the format, with historic camping running from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. Toilets, food outlets and cash bars cover the basics. Glamping has also appeared at the event.
