17 May - 19 May 2019
Our 2019 festival will be held in Storthes Hall Park, less than two miles away. Set in forty acres of wooded parkland, the exciting new Festival hub will be a building known as The Venue, a great, roomy, flexible space that’s dry & warm, comfortable & welcoming! Concerts, workshops, sessions etc will be hosted here. The Venue has a lift, disabled access and is dog-friendly throughout.
Other activities will be held outside on the grassed, paved and decking areas that surround the building.
We’ll be kicking off the 2019 festival season with the usual Shepley line-up of festival favourites and tomorrow’s folk stars, dancers, children’s festival and lots more. The first artists will be confirmed soon, with many more to follow in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on the website and social media for details.
There will be a conventional bar, gin bar and, of course, one of our famous cask ale and real cider bars. Naturally the latter will be stocked by the finest that the West Riding can supply.
But we will also have lots of things that other festivals cannot offer. We have around three hundred hotel-style en suite bedrooms within a couple of minutes’ walk of The Venue, with prices from £25.00 per room, per night.
There is also ample room for camping and campervans on site, with indoor showers and toilets. There’s even a small on-site supermarket, ATM and plenty of parking.
The Venue also has a host of attractions that you wouldn’t usually find, just in case you need a break from the music and dance. There are pool tables, a computer games room, free Wi-Fi, and even a small cinema. Definitely different.
