About Rewind Festival South
Temple Island Meadows puts Rewind Festival South on the Thames at Henley-on-Thames. The 2027 edition runs 20–22 Aug as a music festival built around 80s-and-beyond pop culture. The address is Temple Island Meadows, Henley-on-Thames, RG9 3DB.
Rewind Festival South began at the same site in 2009 and marked its 10th edition in 2018. Capacity stands at 40,000 a day.
Lineup and Programme
The bill leans into 80s pop and rock, with new wave, soul, funk, disco, reggae and two tone in the wider nostalgia brief. The format stays broad.
Music runs across the Main Stage, The Pink Flamingo Club, The Riverside Stage, Silent Disco and The Inflatable Church. The wider programme includes fun fair rides and Kidzone activity with circus workshops, magicians and balloon bending. Club and pub-style venues take live performances and sing-alongs.
Who Is It For?
The crowd is mixed-age and family-oriented, with the nostalgia programming doing most of the work. All ages can attend, but anyone aged 17 or under must be with a guardian aged 21 or over. Under-18s may be asked for ID.
Family camping is available, alongside accessible camping and the general campsite. Vehicles are not permitted in the campsite.
The Venue and Site
The site sits beside the Thames, with river taxi rides to Henley Bridge. General camping is first-come, first-served, and a Weekend + Camping Bundle covers three nights from Friday to Sunday.
Campsite facilities include showers and toilets, with water points around the site. Welfare, First Aid and Info points operate across the festival. Accessible camping has toilets, showers, charging points and medication storage, and payments are cashless across the site.
