Crookfest 2027 takes place in Crook Town, County Durham on Sunday 2 May as a one-day music festival centred on rock, pop, indie, reggae, ska, Irish and blues.

The event traces back to the Crook Town Festival Of Music at Millfield Ground in 2012, before Crookfest replaced it in 2013 with a listed daily capacity of 2,000. The current format is compact. Gates open at 11:30 am and music runs until 10:15 pm.

Tickets are listed at £20 early bird, £25 standard plus a £2 booking fee, and £30 on the gate.

Lineup and Programme

The bill leans toward tribute and cover bands across rock, pop, indie, reggae, ska, Irish and blues.

Music is split between the Patterson Stage, Millfield Stage and Middle Marquee. The day is built for moving between stages, with wristband re-entry allowing exit and return during the event.

On-site activity is practical: hot-food stalls, bars and space for collapsible chairs, which the festival allows inside the ground.

Who Is It For?

Crookfest is an all-ages, music-focused day festival for fans of tribute and cover bands. Families are welcome.

Children under 12 enter free with a paying adult, with a maximum of two children per adult. The festival states that there are no dedicated children’s activities.

The Venue and Site

Sir Tom Cowie Millfield Ground is a football-ground site on West Road in Crook Town, County Durham, DL15 9PW. The listed capacity is 2,000.

Facilities include hot food stalls, three bars, wheelchair access and wristband re-entry. The bars comprise the clubhouse Hut Bar and two bars on the field.

There is no overnight camping on site. A nearby pop-up campsite at High Woodifield is advertised for Crookfest Weekend.

Travel

Crook Town sits in County Durham, about 9 miles south-west of Durham and about 5 miles north-west of Bishop Auckland.

• Nearest stations: Bishop Auckland railway station is around 4 to 5 miles away, Durham is about 9 miles away, and Darlington is about 17 miles away.
• Road access: The venue is on West Road by the A689, with access via the A690 toward Durham and the A68/A689 roundabout west of Crook.
• A1(M) access: Routes connect through the A68/A689 corridor.
• Parking: A car park is located opposite the ground, with additional parking in and around Crook town centre a short walk away.
