Meltdown Festival 2011 - Kinks lead singer and all round legend Ray Davies is to take charge of this year's Meltdown which he promises to make as diverse as possible. The festival forms part of the Southbank Centre's 60th anniversary celebrations of the Festival Of Britain and will take place over 9 days across the 21 acres of London's Southbank Centre including the Riverside, Royal Festival Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall. Davies visited the festival as a child and says he is keen to include music from the six decades since.
