One of the most anticipated events in the Welsh music calendar, the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod brings many world renowned musicians and performers to Llangollen. It has been taking place every year since 1947 and has become home to the Choir of the World competition since 1987.
4000 performers come together in the small town to sing and dance and perform in a celebration of both music but also international peace and relations. Over six days there are hundreds of performances to enjoy and this year has a wide range of recognisable names attending including Burt Bacharach, Alfie Boe, Rufus Wainwright and of course the Choir of the World with Gareth Malone. The festival is also home to the annual International Message of peace and the Procession of Nations.
