Tramshed Cardiff on Clare Road (CF11 6QP) is conveniently located just south of the city centre. Cardiff's main railway station, Cardiff Central, is about a 10-minute walk away, with Cardiff Queen Street station also nearby for local trains. Both provide frequent services from across Wales and the UK. From either station you can reach Tramshed by a short taxi ride, a quick bus trip or even on foot. Cardiff Bus operates several routes through Grangetown, and buses stop on or near Clare Road, making the festival easy to reach from around town. If you're flying in, Cardiff Airport (CWL) is the closest airport, about 15 miles west of the city. Regular shuttle buses and trains run from the airport to Cardiff Central, and you can then continue to the festival venue. Bristol Airport (about 60 miles away) and London airports also serve the region, with coach and train connections to Cardiff.
If you're driving, Cardiff is easily accessed via the M4 motorway. Take the appropriate exit (for example junction 32 or 33) and follow signs for the Cardiff city centre or Grangetown. Once you reach Clare Road, please note that on-site parking at Tramshed is very limited. Many visitors prefer to park further out in city-centre car parks or use a Park & Ride scheme, then take a short walk, bus or taxi to the venue. Paid street parking is available in parts of Grangetown, but spaces can fill up quickly during events. Consider carpooling or using public transport if possible to avoid parking hassles.
Cardiff offers a wide range of accommodation. If you plan to stay overnight, look for hotels, guest houses or apartment rentals in the city centre, Cardiff Bay or nearby neighborhoods like Grangetown, Roath or Canton. The city centre (around St Mary Street and the Castle) has many options for different budgets, and Cardiff Bay offers waterfront hotels and lively dining. Budget-friendly hostels and B&Bs can also be found in the city. Wherever you choose to stay, it's wise to book early — popular event weekends can sell out rooms quickly. With so many places available, you're sure to find a comfortable spot to rest after enjoying the festival excitement.
