About Houghton
Houghton Hall’s estate gives Houghton its frame: green-field camping, a sculpture garden and wooded corners rather than a single arena drag. The 2027 edition runs 5-8 August at Houghton Hall, Houghton, with electronic music at the centre of the bill. Capacity is capped at 15,000.
The first edition landed at Houghton Hall in 2017. A 2019 edition was cancelled on 8 August because of severe storm conditions.
Lineup and Programme
The bill runs through electronic music first: house and techno sit alongside dub reggae. Jazz, ambient and funk also have space.
Across the site, stage names include Derren Smart Stage, The Earthling, Giant Steps, Outburst, The Warehouse, The Pavilion, Pinters, The Quarry, Stallions, Old Gramophone, Terminus, The Armadillo and The Orchard. Extended DJ sets and bespoke sound systems are part of the format, with hidden stages worked into the estate.
Away from the music there are guided art tours, Trevinos record store, the Orchard wellbeing area and Turntable & Napkin restaurant.
Who Is It For?
Entry is strictly 18+, with Challenge 25 in operation. No children are admitted.
The crowd is adult and music-focused, with the event built around multi-stage electronic sets. General admission camping is included, and campers are asked to leave on Monday.
The Venue and Site
The Houghton Hall estate is a green-field site, laid out around The Village/Food Village and two named areas, The Lake and The Woods. The sculpture garden setting also brings art installations into the site.
Camping fields have fresh water points, showers, toilets and bike compounds. Boutique camping adds bar and cafe facilities, while live-in vehicles use a field with water refill points and IBC waste removal but no electricity hook-up. First aid and welfare operate 24 hours in The Village, with accessible toilets and accessible parking close to the entrance.
