In January 2025, Rebel Reading's fundraising page announced the first Rebel Reading Fest; Global Tales Bookfest | Rebel Reading Fest 2026 takes place at St. Peter's, Poole as a family literature and children's books event on 10 October 2026.

Doors are listed for 10:00. The event runs through The Rebel Reading Society, whose stated mission is to get children reading and support young readers, families and schools.

Some sessions have published low-cost family pricing, with listed ticket tiers from £2.00 to £6.00.
