About Gadabout Festival

For its third edition, Gadabout Festival 2027 returns to High Hall Farm, Croglin, Armathwaite, Cumbria as a rural music festival rooted in indie rock, folk and pop.

The first Gadabout ran at the same farm on 25-26 July 2025, followed by a second edition in 2026. The 2027 event runs 23-25 July, with the site advertising four days of camping and two days of music.

Lineup and Programme

The bill leans toward indie rock and folk, with pop, indie folk, alternative rock, electronic and swing also listed in festival material.

Main Stage and The Pleasure Seekers Stage are the named stages. Comedy, street food and family activities sit around the live music programme.

Who Is It For?

Gadabout is billed as family friendly and all ages, with a small rural setup aimed at music discoverers, families and local audiences.

Children’s weekend tickets cover ages 7-17, and under 6s go free. Adult weekend tickets are listed at £70, with day tickets from £40.

The Venue and Site

High Hall Farm puts the festival in the Eden Valley, at Croglin, Armathwaite, CA4 9SG.

Camping is available on site. Facilities listed for High Hall include toilets, showers, electric hook-up and charging points, with fire pits, picnic benches, glamping or Airstream accommodation, an on-site shop, table tennis and a washing machine also listed for the campsite.

Travel

High Hall Farm sits near Armathwaite in Cumbria, around 20 minutes by car from Carlisle and Penrith.

• Rail: Armathwaite station is about 3.4 miles / 5.6 km away. Lazonby & Kirkoswald is about 3.9 miles / 6.2 km away, and Langwathby is about 7.7 miles / 12.4 km away.
• Road: Access from the M6 is via junction 41 when travelling north, about 20 minutes off the motorway. Junctions 42 and 43 are listed for routes coming south, about 25 minutes off the M6.
• Parking: Parking is listed by pitch or unit, with additional parking on a gravel track or turning area and near the site entrance.
• Nearby towns: Keswick is about 40 minutes’ drive from the site.
