About Fields of Gold Festival

Tameside Stadium sets the scale, with capacity of up to 5,000. Fields of Gold Festival 2027 runs at Tameside Stadium, Oldham from Friday 3 September to Saturday 4 September as an 18+ music festival built around tribute-band sets. Its music leans into indie pop and rock.

The festival dates back to 2021. A 2022 edition ran at Ashton Cricket Club; the 2027 edition is at Tameside Stadium.

Who Is It For?

This is an adults-only crowd. Entry is 18+, with Challenge 25 checks in operation, so photo ID is part of the door routine for younger-looking ticket-holders.

The audience points toward tribute-act concerts and UK pop/rock nostalgia rather than a family field. Camping-style chairs are allowed in designated areas, which fits a day-event crowd staying on site between sets.

The Venue and Site

Tameside Stadium sits on Richmond Street, directly opposite Ashton West tram stop. The site has a big top marquee for shelter, with bars, food concessions and card payments available.

There is no cash machine. Camping is not part of the festival; hotels are within walking distance, and nearby parking is limited to pre-booked paid spaces.

Travel

• Tram: Ashton West tram stop is directly opposite Tameside Stadium.
• Rail: Ashton-under-Lyne station is less than 1 mile from the site.
• Road: The stadium is on Richmond Street, about 1 mile from M60 junction 23 via the IKEA roundabout.
• Parking: There is no onsite parking. Limited paid spaces are about 5 minutes' walk away when booked in advance.
• Manchester: Manchester city centre is around half an hour away by tram.
