About Equinox Festival

Equinox dates back to September 2016, when the first event set out the shape of a cross-genre weekender. Equinox Festival 2027 runs from 17-19 September at Scholey Park, Lincoln. It is an outdoor music festival with a licensed capacity of 4,999.

The format is broad. Reggae, dub, bass music, folk, punk and electronic styles all sit inside the same weekend. The festival operates as a not-for-profit social enterprise.

Lineup and Programme

The bill runs across six named stages. More than 100 bands, DJs and artists cover reggae, dub, drum & bass, jungle, psytrance, techno, acoustic music, world music, punk, funk, disco, folk and bass.

Away from stage times, the programme includes fire shows, workshops, heritage crafts, children's entertainment, chill-out areas and light shows. The Soundscape Solar Stage is solar-powered.

Who Is It For?

The crowd is mixed-age, with an all-tribes ethos and a Children's & Family Area built into the site. Family camping sits alongside children's entertainment, while under-18s must be with a responsible adult aged 21+.

Under-14s are free but still need a ticket. One adult aged 25+ may accompany up to two under-18s.

The Venue and Site

Scholey Park, LN4 4PD, is a rural outdoor site with an arena, campsite and car park. On-site camping includes family camping, a dedicated mobility camping area and campervan/caravan provision.

Cars stay out of the camping fields. Facilities include carer passes, first aid, Psycare UK welfare support, food traders, bars and a designated barbecue area.

Travel to Equinox Festival

Scholey Park sits outside Lincoln in LN4 4PD. Drivers use the postcode, then follow festival traffic signs near the site.

• Rail: Metheringham Railway Station is the nearest station.
• Road: Access routes include the A1(M), A17, A153, B1192, A15/Paston Parkway, A47, A16 and A52.
• Parking: Vehicle passes are required for cars, live-in vehicles and caravans. Gate purchase costs more than advance purchase.

Cars are not permitted in camping fields, and sleeping in vehicles in car parks is not allowed.
