About Chilfest
Tring’s Dorian Williams Sports Ground puts Chilfest in a country-field setting in the Chiltern Hills. Chilfest 2027 runs there on 2-3 July as a music festival in Tring, Hertfordshire, with a family-friendly boutique format built around 80s and 90s music. It began in 2013, when Little Mix shared the inaugural bill with Tony Hadley, Howard Jones, Rick Astley, Midge Ure, Hazel O’Connor and Carol Decker.
The format is split across two days. Friday 2 July is billed as Totally Tribute, while Saturday 3 July is the mainstage day.
Lineup and Programme
Friday is tribute-led. Announced acts include Rob Lamberti as George Michael and Gabrielle, with music moving between Totally Tribute and Mainstage across the weekend.
The bill leans into retro pop and tribute sets, alongside soul/funk/disco and indie rock. Away from the stages, the programme includes a food-and-drink village, camping and dancing.
Who Is It For?
The crowd runs to families, groups of friends and retro-music fans, with the 80s and 90s nostalgia doing much of the work. Under-16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Children’s tickets cover ages 4-16.
Chairs and blankets are permitted, which points to a more settled field setup than a stand-all-day arena. Food traders cover vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets.
The Venue and Site
Dorian Williams Sports Ground, Cow Lane, Tring, Hertfordshire HP23 5NS is the festival site. The setting is a country field in the Chiltern Hills/Tring area, with on-site camping and car parking attached to the event.
Camping is on site. Tent pitches are 5m x 5m and priced per person; campervan and caravan pitches are 8m x 8m, with optional power. Facilities include hot showers, clean toilets, drinking water taps, a phone charging area and a coffee and breakfast van.
The arena setup includes a street-food village, food-and-drink vendors, disabled toilets and blue badge parking.
