About Carfest

Chris Evans created Carfest in 2012 to raise money for charity partners. The 2027 edition runs from 27-29 August at Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire, with the event built as a family festival. Carfest moved to Silverstone in 2026 after more than a decade at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire, and around 30,000 festivalgoers per day came through the gates in its first year at the circuit.

The format folds seven strands into the weekend: music, cars, food, kids, retro, spa and star content. Ticket revenue and profits go to UK children’s charities, with The Silverstone Foundation selecting the charitable organisations that receive Carfest funding in 2027.

Lineup and Programme

The bill runs across pop, rock, dance, disco, DJ sets and acoustic sets. Music is spread over the Main Stage, The Wigwam Stage, The StarFest Stage, The SpaFest Stage, Club CarFest, The Curiosity Factory Stage and The Rewind Stage.

Away from the stages, the programme includes car displays and track shows, chef demonstrations and tastings, talks and celebrity interviews. Kids’ activities, workshops and wellbeing sessions also sit inside the wider site programme.

Who Is It For?

Carfest is aimed at a family-oriented, multi-generational crowd. Tickets are age-banded for 0-5, 6-12, 13-17 and 18+, with children under 6 entering free of charge on a 0-5 ticket.

Child tickets must be accompanied by a fully paying adult. The camping set-up, kids’ activities and accessible site facilities all point to a weekend built for families rather than a late-night-only crowd.

The Venue and Site

Silverstone Circuit sits near Towcester in Northamptonshire, the home of the British Grand Prix. The move gives Carfest access to the track itself for car displays and track shows, along with extras such as Kart Silverstone. The site carries camping and glamping, with general camping, live-in vehicle camping and accessible camping all in the mix.

The general campsite has separate car parking, showers, toilets, drinking water points, food and drink stalls, a campsite shop, washing-up stations, waste disposal areas, trolley hire, mobile charging units and 24-hour first aid support. Accessible facilities include accessible toilets and showers, mobility scooter hire, scooter charging, a changing places / HDU unit and a bus and buggy shuttle to the accessible campsite.

Travel to Carfest

Carfest takes place at Silverstone Circuit, Towcester, Northamptonshire (NN12 8TN). The circuit sits on the A43 between the M1 and M40, around 90 minutes' drive from central London, with Milton Keynes and Northampton the nearest big towns.

• Nearest stations: There is no station at the circuit. Wolverton is the closest, about 10 miles away, with direct trains from London Euston, Birmingham New Street and Northampton. Milton Keynes Central, Northampton and Banbury are the other main options, each around 30 minutes from the circuit by bus or taxi.
• Road access: From the south and London, use the M1 to J15a or the M40 to J10, then follow the A43 to Silverstone. From the north, use the M1 to J15a and the A43. Expect heavy traffic on the A43 around arrival and departure times.
• Parking: Car parking passes must be bought before the event for day visitors and weekend visitors without camping.

• Taxis: Taxis run from all the nearby stations, at roughly £30 from Wolverton and around £40 from Milton Keynes, Northampton or Banbury. Book your return taxi in advance.
