About Carfest

Chris Evans created Carfest in 2012 to raise money for charity partners. The 2027 edition runs from 27-29 August at Laverstoke Park Farm, Basingstoke, with the event built as a family festival. Around 30,000 festivalgoers per day came through the gates in 2026.

The format folds seven strands into the weekend: music, cars, food, kids, retro, spa and star content. Ticket revenue and profits go to UK children’s charities, with The Silverstone Foundation selecting the charitable organisations that receive Carfest funding in 2027.

Lineup and Programme

The bill runs across pop, rock, dance, disco, DJ sets and acoustic sets. Music is spread over the Main Stage, The Wigwam Stage, The StarFest Stage, The SpaFest Stage, Club CarFest, The Curiosity Factory Stage and The Rewind Stage.

Away from the stages, the programme includes car displays and track shows, chef demonstrations and tastings, talks and celebrity interviews. Kids’ activities, workshops and wellbeing sessions also sit inside the wider site programme.

Who Is It For?

Carfest is aimed at a family-oriented, multi-generational crowd. Tickets are age-banded for 0-5, 6-12, 13-17 and 18+, with children under 6 entering free of charge on a 0-5 ticket.

Child tickets must be accompanied by a fully paying adult. The camping set-up, kids’ activities and accessible site facilities all point to a weekend built for families rather than a late-night-only crowd.

The Venue and Site

Laverstoke Park Farm sits outside Basingstoke in Hampshire. The site carries camping and glamping, with general camping, live-in vehicle camping and accessible camping all in the mix.

The general campsite has separate car parking, showers, toilets, drinking water points, food and drink stalls, a campsite shop, washing-up stations, waste disposal areas, trolley hire, mobile charging units and 24-hour first aid support. Accessible facilities include accessible toilets and showers, mobility scooter hire, scooter charging, a changing places / HDU unit and a bus and buggy shuttle to the accessible campsite.

Travel to Carfest

Carfest takes place at Laverstoke Park Farm, Basingstoke, in Hampshire. The site is around 13 miles west of Basingstoke, about 60 miles east of London via the M3 and about 27 miles north of Southampton via the A303, A34 and M3.

• Nearest stations: Overton is 3 miles away, Micheldever is 3.2 miles away, Basingstoke is 11.5 miles away and Andover is 15.5 miles away.
• Road access: Routes include the C29 via Overton Village / Gate D1, M3 J8 and A303 from London, M3 J9 and A34 from the south or south-west, and the B3400 / Winchester Road from Basingstoke or Whitchurch.
• Parking: Car parking passes are required for day visitors and weekend visitors without camping. Passes are cheaper online than on site.
• Accessible parking: Blue-badge parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be pre-booked.
