About Campo Sancho
After starting under a 499-person Temporary Event Notice in 2016, Campo Sancho 2027 returns to Walkern Hall, Stevenage as a music festival rooted in house, disco, balearic, reggae, techno and experimental sounds.
The numbers have stayed tight. East Herts records describe a family orientated event, with ticket caps moving from 800 in 2017 to 1,100 in 2018 and 1,300 in 2019.
A new annual premises licence was granted in 2023. The council set a 1,500-person licensed maximum for 2025.
Lineup and Programme
The site has three named stages: Middle Row, Snare and Hi Hat, and Upwoods. Upwoods was introduced as a new area and stage in 2025.
Middle Row is an outdoor carnival-style stage, while Upwoods sits in a woodland setting. The programme covers dancing and DJ sets, live music, circus workshops, arts activities, wellness activities, talks and children’s entertainment.
Who Is It For?
Council and official materials describe Campo Sancho as family orientated. Its audience is a boutique festival crowd drawn to underground dance music and arts.
Under-18s must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or over. Each adult can accompany a maximum of three under-18s.
