About Belladrum
Belladrum 2027 returns to Belladrum Estate, Inverness as a music festival rooted in indie rock, folk, electronic and traditional Scottish music.
Joe Gibbs established the festival in 2004. It moved from one day to two in 2010, then to a three-day format in 2015.
Scale matters here. Belladrum says it now operates at a final capacity of 25,000 attendees per day, after recording 20,000 attendees in 2022.
Lineup and Programme
The programme runs across a 14-stage layout. Listed stages include the Hot House Main Stage, Garden Stage, Grassroots Stage, Seedlings Stage, Venus Fly Trap, Burke & Hare Stage, Trailer Trash, The Potting Shed Stage, Tomatin Bothy, Bella Bar Stage, Ice House Stage, Verb Garden Picture Dome and Free Range Acoustic Stage.
It is not just live bands. The wider programme takes in comedy, cabaret, spoken word, dance, drag and wrestling, alongside art installations, creative arts and workshops.
Who Is It For?
Belladrum describes itself as a homegrown, family-friendly festival. The audience is all ages, from babes in arms to great-great grandparents.
Under-18s must be accompanied by an over-25, with a ratio of two under-18s to one over-25. Ages 0-2 go free but still require a ticket, and bars operate Challenge 25.
