Words That Burn is a metal group from Dundalk, Ireland, active since 2010. The band’s earlier description places it in the anarchist D-beat and crust punk sphere, and it also appears under alternative metal, metal, and alternative tags.

The line-up includes Bitty on guitar and vocals, Ozzy on drums and vocals, Jacky on guitar and vocals, and Hart on bass. The group also includes members associated with State of Fear, Wartorn, Maneurysm, Default, and Remission.

Its recorded output includes the LP Spawning Ground For Hatred, issued on Profane Existence. The band is also noted for being interviewed in the May-June 2005 issue of the Profane Existence zine, where it says the group survived a violent carjacking that left multiple members injured.
