WOODZ is the stage name of Cho Seungyoun, a South Korean singer-songwriter and producer from Gyeonggido, South Korea. He is known for work across pop rock, K-pop, R&B and Korean R&B, and is also known as Luizy.

He debuts as a member of the boy group UNIQ in 2014 and later joins M.O.L.A in 2015. In 2019, he appears on PRODUCE X 101 and places fifth, which leads to his membership of X1. He is also a former YG Entertainment trainee, and his early career includes training under the joint Yuehua and YG system before UNIQ’s official debut.

Before his solo work under WOODZ, he debuts as a solo artist under the name Luizy with the single “RECIPE” featuring Flowsik in 2016. In 2018, he begins using WOODZ for his solo releases, with a shift in style towards more vocal-led music and R&B elements. His first mini-album as WOODZ is EQUAL, which includes the title track “Love Me Harder” (“파랗게”). He later begins his first world tour, “OO-LI”.

Seungyoun also lives in Brazil for two years to attend a football school after elementary school, then moves back to South Korea after studying in the Philippines for one year to pursue singing. He is later active under EDAM Entertainment.
