William Beckett

William Beckett is a singer and multi-instrumentalist from Barrington, United States, best known as the vocalist of The Academy Is…. He also plays tambourine and guitar.

Career

Beckett is a member of The Academy Is…, a Chicago band that forms in 2004. Before joining that group, he works on a solo project called Remember Maine and releases the album The Last Place You Look in 2002.

The Academy Is… later disbands in October 2011. Beckett then begins a solo career, releasing his debut solo single, Compromising Me, which appears on the EP Walk The Talk. He also releases Great Night, from the EP Winds Will Change.
