Wild Ride
Wild Ride is a Dutch heavy guitar and keyboard based melodic rock group from the Netherlands, active since 1992. The band sits within the hard rock, rock, hair metal, glam rock and glam metal sphere, and is associated with the Dutch keyboard-oriented melodic rock scene.
Style and sound
Their music combines guitar-driven rock with prominent keyboards. The guitar work is led by Yuri Florentinus, whose playing gives the group a heavier edge, while the production is handled by Okkie Huysdens, known for work with The President and Diesel.
Line-up
The band includes Fred Pieters on vocals, Toine Van Der Linden on bass and backing vocals, Jan Hartman on drums, and Yuri Florentinus on guitar and backing vocals. Pieters and Van Der Linden come from the Dutch band Hot Legs, and Van Der Linden also performs with Vangouw.
Additional musicians
Recorded and live personnel associated with the band include Okkie Huysdens on backing vocals, Val Roberts on keyboards, Don Van Spall on 12-string guitar and backing vocals, and Jan Koster on tambourine and backing vocals.
Release
The band releases the album Tension & Desire in 1993.
