White Powder Gold

White Powder Gold is a London-based alternative electro rock group. Their sound draws on dubstep, electro, R&B and hip-hop as well as rock, punk, reggae and indie, and they describe influences ranging from The Sex Pistols and The Beatles to Sizzla and Beres Hammond.

The band’s music is positioned as difficult to categorise because of its mixture of styles. It is associated with the kind of crossover sound that sits between indie rock, electronic music and Jamaican-influenced genres, and the group notes that it would fit alongside artists such as Friendly Fires and N.E.R.D.

White Powder Gold records material over a 12-month period and begins its release run with the singles “Rock n Rolla” and “It’s the weekend” from its debut EP. The EP also includes dubstep remixes by Lewi White, who produces much of Devlin’s Bud, Sweat & Beers, and by Marco Del Horno of Rinse.FM, who has success with the P Money-featuring track Ho! Riddim.
