Tower Blocks

Tower Blocks are a punk group from Berlin, Germany, active since 2000. The band forms part of the city’s punk scene and is associated with Oi, street punk and punk rock.

Style and influences

Their sound is described as fresh Oi! and street punk, with influences from 4 Skins, Sham 69, The Who and other punk-related acts. They are presented as a distinct band rather than an imitation of older revival groups.

Live work and repertoire

Tower Blocks play live sets that usually run for more than 90 minutes. Their performances include cover versions of Sham 69, 4 Skins, Blitz, Stiff Little Fingers and Peter and the Test Tube Babies, alongside their own songs.

Lyrical themes

Their lyrics focus on everyday life from a punk rocker or skinhead perspective. Recurring subjects include fighting boredom, supporting a local football team, being in trouble after drinking, and criticising wider social conditions.
