Timmy Trumpet

Tim Smith, known professionally as Timmy Trumpet, is an Australian DJ, producer and musician based in Sydney. He is associated with EDM, electro house and house, and is signed to Sinphony. Born in 1982, he develops a career that combines DJing with live trumpet performance.

He makes his breakthrough in Ibiza, where he plays live trumpet solos over electronic dance music during DJ sets. He later performs alongside artists including Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Fedde le Grand, Dizzee Rascal, Fatboy Slim and the Stafford Brothers. He also appears as a regular character on the FOX8 reality television series The Stafford Brothers.

Timmy Trumpet transitions from jazz performance into global dance music and works as a combined DJ and instrumentalist. He performs at venues and events including Pacha in Ibiza and Miami’s WMC, and he mixes compilation CDs for Ministry of Sound and Pacha. His singles reach the No. 1 position on the ARIA Club Chart, and he is ranked among Australia’s top DJs in industry polls and awards, including being placed at No. 2 in the 2014 inthemix DJ Awards Sydney.

His touring schedule is extensive, with more than 200 shows a year and frequent travel between appearances. He is also described as one of the busiest DJs in Australia.
