The Villanovas
The Villanovas are a London-based four-piece rock band active since 2014. Their music combines fast-paced rock with soulful blues and draws on sounds that sit between those styles. The band’s debut single, Burning Planes, features in London Unsigned’s top six tracks, and they win the Larmer Tree Breakthrough Award in 2015. They also appear in UK-wide Blues Magazine in December 2014.
The band develop a reputation for energetic live performances across the south coast of England. Their sound is compared with classic acts such as The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones, as well as newer bands including Rival Sons, The Strypes and The Black Keys. Their songwriting is described as original and is aimed at audiences of different ages.
The Villanovas release a debut EP in December 2014, with a launch at Mr. Kyps in Dorset. The EP reaches listeners including Bryan Adams and Jimmy Page.
