The Neutrinos are a Norwich group associated with art punk and post-punk. The band features Karen Reilly on vocals, Jon Banknote on bass, Mark Travis Howe on guitar and Simon Bob Morrison on drums.

Style and influences

Their sound combines dark, edgy melancholy with arty guitars. They are described as female-fronted art-rockers and are compared with artists including PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Portishead and The Pixies. Their own influences include Violent Femmes, the Stooges, PJ Harvey, Patti Smith and The Pixies.

Releases and media attention

The band release their first album, Sick Love, in 2004. A later album, One Way Kiss, is issued on Wet Nurse Records and is recorded in a disused windmill in Norfolk. They also release the single “Girlfriend’s Got A Gun”. The group receives national radio play from John Peel and Zoe Ball, and is featured on BBC 6 Music.
