The Moves

The Moves are a late 1990s to early 2000s Boston indie rock band from the United States. The group is a trio and is no longer active. Their sound combines rock instrumentation with electronic elements and sits across pop and indie rock, with the supplied tags also placing them alongside chillout, punk and deep house.

Line-up and format

The band is described with two different sets of personnel. One account gives the group as Johnny Vox on vocals, guitar and keys, George Henner on drums, and Ian Ross on bass. Another lists Rachel Cohen, Sara Cooper and Sara Shaw as band members.

Releases and label activity

The Moves release a self-titled debut album in 2000. They also put out the EP One Two Three Four in the late 2000s. The band is also among the acts associated with Kaia Wilson’s Mr. Lady label, alongside other artists on the imprint.
