The Lowly Knights
The Lowly Knights are a Belfast-based folk group. Their music is described as ramshackle folk, and they are associated with acoustic and Northern Irish folk sounds.
Releases
The group issues recordings including The Rifles EP, The Hollow EP and The Even Keel EP. Their first two releases receive critical attention, and The Even Keel EP follows in 2010. The track “Devotion” is named by Alternative Ulster as one of the top 50 Northern Irish songs of the previous five years.
Performances and associations
The Lowly Knights share stages with The Divine Comedy, Mumford & Sons, Port'Brien, Duke Special, Iain Archer, Matthew & The Atlas and Frightened Rabbit. They also appear as support for Snow Patrol on a UK arena tour.
