The Coronas

The Coronas are a rock band from Terenure, Ireland, formed in 2003. The group starts out when its members are students at Terenure College and around 15 years old. It first performs under the name Kiros, then changes its name and line-up to Corona three years later. When the Italian dance act Corona returns, the band adopts the name The Coronas.

The band’s debut album, Heroes or Ghosts, is released in 2007 and enters the Irish album chart at number 21. The Coronas appear on RTÉ’s The Cafe, TV3’s event guide, Channel 6’s Popscene, and on numerous radio shows. In 2006, they win the Jack Daniels Set competition for new bands. The band’s frontman is Danny O’Reilly.
