The Bowery
The Bowery is a Dutch band formed in 2016. The name comes from the Bowery district in New York, which singer Rokus links to ideas of beauty, decline and human impact on a place.
The band writes songs about everyday life rather than standard love songs. Its lyrics focus on doubt, pain and sadness, as well as hope and faith. The group describes the songs as direct and raw, and as something meant to share experiences and to prompt thought rather than provide answers.
