The All-American Rejects

The All-American Rejects are a US rock band from Stillwater, Oklahoma, active from 2000. They are associated with alternative rock, emo pop, pop punk and power pop, and their listed members include Tyson Ritter, Sebastian Tenorio-Vallejo, Chris Gaylor, Mike Kennerty, Nick Wheeler and Nickolas Wheeler.

The core lineup is led by Tyson Ritter on lead vocals, bass guitar and piano, with Nick Wheeler on lead guitar, Mike Kennerty on rhythm guitar, and Chris Gaylor on drums and percussion. The band is signed to Doghouse Records.

Albums and singles

The band first gains mainstream attention with its self-titled debut album, which is released in 2003 and is certified platinum in the United States. It includes the single “Swing, Swing”.

The second album, Move Along, follows in 2005 and brings wider success. Its singles “Dirty Little Secret”, “Move Along” and “It Ends Tonight” all reach the top fifteen of the Billboard Hot 100, and the album is certified double platinum.

When the World Comes Down is released in 2008 and later goes gold. Its lead single, “Gives You Hell”, becomes the band’s highest-charting song, reaching number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming a multi-platinum seller in the United States.

The fourth studio album, Kids in the Street, is released in 2012 and debuts at number 18 on the US Billboard 200.

Across their career, The All-American Rejects sell more than 10 million albums worldwide. They are also ranked on Billboard’s decade lists for the 2000s.
